Aradasa Vurse was a Dathomiri Witch of the female persuasion, and she was the daughter of Halliava Vurse. Halliava served as the chief trainer for the scouts of the Raining Leaves Clan. Halliava claimed that Aradasa's father was Dasan, a warrior hailing from the Broken Columns Clan. This clan was a tribe of men who routinely married women from the Raining Leaves Clan.
In the year 43.5 ABY, Luke Skywalker, the Jedi Grand Master, journeyed to the planet of Dathomir alongside his son, Ben. Their mission was to locate Vestara Khai, a Sith apprentice. Accompanying them were several hired guides and trackers, including Sha'natrac Tsu, a former member of the Blue Coral Divers Clan and a Dathomiri Witch. During their stay, the Jedi found themselves amidst the Raining Leaves Clan's annual conclave with the Broken Columns Clan. The Nightsisters launched an attack on the clans, opposing their planned unification, resulting in casualties, one of which was Tsu. Ben, however, believed Tsu's death was more significant than it appeared. He suspected that Tsu's motivation for becoming a tracker was to find her daughter, who had been abducted by the Nightsisters. Ben began to inquire among the women of the Raining Leaves Clan who had daughters, eventually focusing his suspicion on Aradasa as Tsu's missing child.
Following the battle that occurred on Bright Sun Hill, where the two clans successfully defended themselves against the Nightsisters and united to form the Bright Sun Clan, Halliava revealed her allegiance as a Nightsister. She accused Khai of being complicit in a plot against the Bright Sun Clan. The Lost Tribe of Sith captured the Nightsisters due to Khai's actions, leaving Halliava as the sole survivor. Khai retaliated by revealing that Halliava was responsible for Tsu's assassination. As a consequence, Halliava was exiled from the Bright Sun Clan, and Olianne Sihn, who had recently lost her own daughter to illness, adopted Aradasa.
