This surprise attack forced the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet to disperse, making multiple jumps through hyperspace to escape. During the opening moments of the conflict, Galactic Alliance Admiral Gar Stazi suffered severe injuries inflicted by Tealart, a treacherous Mon Calamari serving as a shipman. Ultimately, the Alliance fleet arrived in the Teraab sector, where they were chased by the Imperials, but they successfully reversed their fortunes in combat as their foes emerged from hyperspace behind them.
