Ayo Tam
Ayo Tam was a diminutive alien being. He was present on Tatooine around 9 BBY. He was observed, along with an Aki-Aki, as they strolled and conversed in the vicinity of the Mos Eisley spaceport. This occurred while Obi-Wan Kenobi, the exiled Jedi Master, was en route to an outgoing passenger transport to rescue a young Princess Leia.
Equipment
Ayo Tam was seen wearing loose-fitting trousers and a shirt, colored dark brown and tan respectively. He also wore a brown vest and a sizable utility belt. Furthermore, he had a cybernetic monocle, resembling an eyepatch, with a dark red lens and three prominent straps securing it to his head.
Behind the scenes
Ayo Tam made his initial appearance, though without identification, in the first episode of the television show Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was originally broadcast on May 26, 2022. The character's head had been previously sculpted by Miles Teves for a different, eventually cancelled, project. This detailed sculpt was then acquired by Shaun Smith, a make-up effects artist, for use in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Smith then requested that concept artist Dylan Howie-Richardson develop a refreshed design for the character, which was subsequently used for a background character in the premiere episode of the show. Jo Osmond Morriss portrayed Ayo Tam, adding to her numerous roles as background characters in Star Wars television productions.
