Balosars were a sentient species of near-human beings. While they closely resembled humans in most respects, they were distinguished by the presence of two antennapalps located on the top of their heads. Their world of origin was the devastated planet of Balosar. Not long before the Clone Wars began, a Balosar named Elan Sleazebaggano tried to sell death sticks to Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi inside the Outlander Club, situated on the planet Coruscant. However, the Jedi used a mind trick on the dealer, compelling him to reconsider his life choices and return home. A male Balosar was also a member of the Jedi Order during this era. During the Galactic Empire's rule, on the world of Lothal, Ezra Bridger, a street urchin, noticed a Balosar woman. She wore a shimmersilk scarf wrapped around her antennapalps, which Ezra estimated to be worth at least one thousand credits.
