A human male, named Bartol, resided on Sedri Minor, a planet hosting an agricultural settlement. This took place within the High Republic Era. He was acquainted with Reff and Julus. During her mission there, Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis encountered Bartol in a field where Vratixian barley grew.
Trennis and Bartol journeyed together through the barley, discovering an opening in the earth. Bartol immediately leaped into it, and Trennis employed the Force to ensure his safety upon landing. This opening descended into a subterranean passage, ultimately revealing the deceased form of Bartol's friend Julus, along with Ceret. Ceret remained alive, unlike Julus. Through additional examination, Trennis discerned that Ceret had a plant-based material within his cranium. As her attention was diverted to Ceret, Bartol was seized by the leg by a plant-like extension within the passage. Trennis severed Bartol's bond and then faced the Drengir. Ceret, now influenced by the Drengir, then took hold of Bartol while Trennis was engaged in combat with her lightsaber. Just as hope seemed to fade, Jedi Master Avar Kriss appeared from above, bisecting the Drengir. Bartol and Trennis were rescued, and Ceret was freed from the Drengir's influence. Yet, before they could leave, further Drengir materialized, accompanied by Jedi Master Sskeer, who was now under their sway.
