Ceret, a Jedi Knight of the Kotabi species, identified as trans non-binary. They were also a bond-twin with Terec. During the High Republic Era, both twins were stationed at the Starlight Beacon space station. Due to their unique bond, Ceret and Terec shared a gestalt mind, often completing each other's sentences even when physically separated.
Ceret was a Jedi Knight who was trans non-binary and a member of the Kotabi species, as well as a bond-twin with Terec. During the High Republic Era, the twins served within the ranks of the Jedi Order.

After Starlight received a scrambled distress signal originating from the Kazlin system, Ceret and Terec joined Jedi Master Sskeer and Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis, who had recently been promoted, on a mission to investigate the system. They docked their T-1 shuttle with the remains of a destroyed vessel and entered, equipping rebreathers due to the presence of gas, suggesting an attack by the Nihil. Soon after, Ceret and Trennis separated from the others, while Sskeer and Terec went in a different direction. Sensing anger and pain emanating from Sskeer, Ceret alerted Trennis to the issue. Shortly after, the pair discovered the body of a dead Hutt, with Ceret noting blaster wounds, stab marks, and signs of nagnol [poisoning](/article/poison]. Ceret theorized that the Hutt's ship might have been transporting crops for sale to the highest bidder following the [Great Disaster](/article/great_hyperspace_disaster]. Subsequently, Ceret discovered a damaged navidroid whose data indicated it had been traveling from the Sedri system at the time of the assault.
Marshal Avar Kriss, upon confirming the existence of an outpost on Sedri Minor, dispatched Master Sskeer and Ceret to the planet in an attempt to trace the Vratixia renanicus shipment back to its source. After landing, Ceret's attention was drawn to a mysterious Rodian, leading them into the crop fields where they were ambushed by a Drengir vine and dragged into its subterranean lair. Master Sskeer, in his search for the missing Jedi, only found Ceret's lightsaber lying on the ground.
After arriving on the planet along with Marshal Kriss, Master Sskeer, and a wounded but strangely plagued Jedi Terec, Jedi Keeve Trennis located Ceret in the Drengir's lair after searching through a sinkhole with the stray Bartol. Ceret was incapacitated and strung up by thick vines, stretching into their ears, nose and mouth. After Trennis freed Ceret, they warned her of the Drengir that lay in the caves. The Drengir took control of Ceret's mind, subsequently causing their bond-twin Terec to become affected by the power of the Drengir. Ceret held back Bartol as the Drengir attempted to infest Trennis' mind, but she was saved by Marshal Kriss.
Kriss compelled Ceret to release Bartol, also freeing the Jedi from the control of the Drengir. Though Ceret had been freed from the grasp of the Drengir, Sskeer arrived, fully possessed by the vinery of the plant monsters. Sskeer and the Drengir then used vines to capture Ceret, along with Kriss, Bartol, and Trennis. Trennis attempted to get through to Sskeer despite the Drengir's influence, but Ceret told her that it was hopeless, that they had seen the reaping and that the Drengir survive no matter what happens. As the Drengir attempted to take control of the prisoners by inserting their vines into their mouths and noses, Ceret warned that not only Sskeer was lost, but all of them too. However, before they were taken over, Sskeer double crossed the Drengir and used the Force to send the monsters to the surface, allowing Ceret and the others to be free. However, the Drengir were still in possession of Bartol, and so Ceret joined the other Jedi in fighting against the Drengir to get him back.
Following the rescue of Bartol by the Jedi, they were attacked by Myarga Anjiliac Atirue and the [Hutt Clan](/article/hutt_clan], who sought to seize control of Sedri Minor. As Trennis struggled to protect civilians from blaster fire, Ceret volunteered to escort them to safety. Despite Trennis' concerns about Ceret's weakened state, Ceret insisted on the strength of the Force and began leading the civilians away.
However, Ceret and the civilians were confronted by a Hutt rancor controlled by a Gamorrean soldier. Ceret reassured the civilians that they would use the Force to restrain the beast. However, their weakened condition prevented them from holding it back for long, and they were knocked down by the Rancor's foot. The rancor put them in its mouth and attempted to eat them. Kriss asked Trennis where Ceret was and after seeing the situation they were in, she quipped that they were 'keeping busy.' Ceret wished out loud to hav their lightsaber, and found that wish quickly answered when Terec arrived with both of their lightsabers, saying that the best part about their special bond is that they always had each others backs. Terec knocked the Gamorrean down and then put the rancor to sleep with the Force, before offering Ceret's lightsaber to them. Ceret expressed concern over the things that they had seen and been subjected to when the Drengir took them over, but Terec insisted that that was the past and that they would never be separated again. The twins, wielding their lightsabers, then jumped into the battle against the Hutt Clan, shouting 'for light and life.'
The Drengir would return, and the Jedi had to work together with the Hutts against the monsters. But Trennis managed to affect the Drengir's linked minds through Sskeer and convince them leave them alone. Myarga asked with confusion what was happening, and Ceret told her that they were retreating.
Ceret's initial appearance, along with Terec, was in The High Republic 2. To mark International Transgender Day of Visibility in 2021, a Star Wars Instagram post elaborated on Ceret's in-universe pronouns, confirming that both Ceret and Terec identify as trans non-binary.
