During the time of the High Republic Era, Jedi Order members embarked on a quest to the planet of Sedri Minor. The impetus for this was the Jedi's recent discovery of a Hutt Clan starship's remains, which had been attacked by the Nihil within the Kazlin system; this vessel was transporting a shipment of Vratixian barley sourced from Sedri Minor. Jedi Master Sskeer, along with Ceret, was deployed to investigate, but the Kotabi Jedi vanished after entering a field, a disappearance noticed only by Terec, Ceret's bond-twin.
Following this, Marshal Avar Kriss and Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis traveled to Sedri Minor, touching down their vessel near a local town. There, the Jedi faced and battled the Drengir, perilous sentient plants. After a short parley with Myarga Anjiliac Atirue, who had arrived to take control of the planet for the Hutt Cartel, Sskeer assaulted the Hutt, leading her to command her forces to assault the settlement. In an effort to safeguard the town's inhabitants, Terec tried to prevent a rancor from killing many civilians, only to be trapped beneath the creature’s foot.
