The Nihil murdered the entire crew and absconded with the ship's contents. A garbled distress signal was transmitted by the ship, which the Galactic Republic space station known as Starlight Beacon intercepted. Subsequently, a group of Jedi were sent to look into the matter. Upon locating the abandoned vessel, the Jedi began their investigation, which led to a confrontation with a solitary pirate who remained on board. Jedi Master Sskeer ultimately killed this pirate after Terec sustained injuries. After deducing that the grain originated from the planet Sedri Minor, Marshal Avar Kriss dispatched Sskeer and Ceret to investigate the source.
