The conflict over Darth Vengean's flagship, a member of the Dark Council, occurred in 3642 BBY, marking the beginning of the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Darth Baras orchestrated this battle to undermine his master, Darth Vengean, and it concluded with the death of Republic Admiral Monk at the hands of Darth Baras' apprentice.
In the year 3642 BBY, Darth Vengean and Darth Baras initiated Plan Zero with the goal of reigniting hostilities between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. While Darth Baras tasked his apprentice with the destruction of the Republic's War Trust on Taris, Darth Vengean aimed to seize control of the outer systems bordering Imperial space.

Moff Masken commanded Darth Vengean's flagship as it journeyed to the fringe systems, but it was intercepted and besieged by the naval forces of Admiral Monk. Following the War Trust's elimination, Darth Baras' apprentice was dispatched to break the siege of Darth Vengean's flagship and assassinate the Republic admiral. Although the apprentice successfully broke the siege, Admiral Monk fled to the surface of the nearby planet Quesh. The apprentice pursued Monk, ultimately killing him within Fort Phalanx, where they discovered his involvement in Darth Baras' spy network.
This battle was depicted in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, specifically as part of Chapter II in the Sith Warrior storyline.
