Battle of Quell (Galactic Civil War)
The Battle of Quell represents an armed conflict that occurred in the Quell system in 13 ABY. It pitted the forces of the Imperial Remnant against those of the New Republic.
Background
After the New Republic achieved victory over Moff Getelles in the Antemeridian sector, they pushed onward through the neutral Borderland Regions towards the Hydian Way, which marked the boundary of Imperial Space. Motivated by fears of a power shift in the region, the Moffs of the Imperial Remnant commanded Admiral Gilad Pellaeon to redeploy his forces across the Hydian Way. Diverted from his ongoing campaign against the planet Adumar, Pellaeon directed his forces to engage the New Republic. The Imperial forces were victorious against the New Republic in both the Lucazec and Barison systems, continuing their advance.
The battle
Within the Quell system, Imperial forces once more clashed with the New Republic, inflicting significant losses. However, this time, the Imperials failed to secure an outright victory and were compelled to withdraw to the Celanon system.
Aftermath
Following their defeat at Quell, coupled with another setback in the Arda system, the New Republic initiated a counterattack on Celanon. Admiral Pellaeon's subsequent defeat there brought the campaign to its conclusion.
