The Battle of Sedratis unfolded amidst the expansive Clone Wars, a widespread galactic struggle that saw the Galactic Republic clash fiercely with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Republic Military's triumph in this particular conflict was orchestrated by Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Huulik. Many decades later, during the Galactic Civil War, Luke Skywalker became aware of this battle and the role his father played within it.
Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Huulik, both skilled pilots in their Jedi starfighters, were among the commanding figures for the Republic forces. During the course of the engagement, the Jedi found themselves under heavy assault from Confederate droid fighters. Huulik's starfighter's energy shields were critically weakened, leaving him exposed to enemy fire. In a display of bravery, Skywalker intervened, positioning his craft between Huulik and an incoming blast, saving the life of his fellow Jedi. Ultimately, the Republic secured victory in the battle. Following their experiences at Sedratis, Skywalker and Huulik fought alongside one another in several subsequent battles.
Approximately two decades following the battle, Taneetch Soonta, Huulik's niece, provided Luke, Skywalker's son and a trainee Jedi, with a brief account of the Battle of Sedratis.
The Battle of Sedratis was initially referenced in Heir to the Jedi, a 2015 novel authored by Kevin Hearne.
