The Black Sun organization ran the Black Sun smash-processing lab located within the mountainous terrain of Dantooine. This laboratory was the site of the creation of a new recipe which amplified the strength of the narcotic smash, also broadening its addictive properties across a larger number of species. Carved directly into the mountainside, the facility housed both a scientific staff and a considerable security force comprised of numerous armed guards from various species. A number of transport ships were stationed on the premises. Following the events of the Escape from Cloud City, Chanath Cha and her group, the Orphans, attacked the installation, reducing it to a burnt-out husk. The Shadowfeeds later broadcasted visual recordings showing the aftermath of the assault: the facility engulfed in flames.
