Blinky was a docile kusak that resided on Lok during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, this creature became part of a group of ten kusaks, including Bedhead, Runt, Scarecrow, Slobbers, Troubles, Wart Face, Gargle, Ding, and Speedbump. These kusaks were trained by the Lok Revenants to serve as guards for Nym's Stronghold. In the year 1 ABY, an individual on an adventure provided the creature with Lokkian weed. Because Blinky had specific preferences for a particular type of weed, the adventurer was required to gather and test various plants to identify the one that Blinky favored.
Blinky made an appearance in the 2003 video game titled Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. Blinky's inclusion in the game was part of the updated "Nym's Theme Park," which was released with "Game Update 16," on March 23, 2010.
This particular kusak was a component of the "Caring for the Kusaks" collection. Each time a player successfully completed the "Weed Whacker Foliage Requisition" quest, they received one of ten unique types of Lokkian weed as a reward. These weeds could be used to feed the kusaks, but each of the ten distinct kusaks located in or around the stronghold would only accept one specific, randomly chosen type of weed.
