A kusak was a predatory canine species, originating from the planet of Lok, that possessed partial armor. These creatures typically hunted together in packs across the rocky landscapes. Should an individual manage to tame a kusak, the creature would exhibit unwavering loyalty until its death.
The pirate warlord Nym employed two kusaks, specifically named Razor and Scourge, as sentinels within his palace. Furthermore, a group of kusaks, including Runt, Bedhead, Blinky, Scarecrow, Slobbers, Troubles, Wart Face, Gargle, Ding and Speedbump, served as guards for Nym's Stronghold.
Kusaks made their debut appearance in the video game Star Wars Galaxies released in 2003. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011.
