These four-legged beings possessed antlers and a quartet of eyes. Though aklyrrs constructed their homes on the ground, they demonstrated proficiency in climbing and exhibited considerable speed. They had a preference for consuming teega leaves during a specific time of the year. The settlement of Aklyrr Bend derived its name from these creatures. In the era of the High Republic Era, the bounty hunter known as Ansen Strung was commissioned by the collector Draiven Bosh to locate a blue aklyrr, receiving aid from the Jedi Initiates Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs. Nevertheless, after discovering that Strung's employer was Bosh—whose intentions were not to provide adequate care for the aklyrr, but rather to possess it solely due to its scarce nature—the Jedi persuaded the bounty hunter to liberate the animal instead.
