Blythe, a male Abyssin, served as the father to the human named Forvan. Both were members of the Colony of Kezarat located in No-Space, where Blythe held the position of captain. In the period spanning 3 ABY to 4 ABY, Blythe was aboard a starship and played a role in rescuing an elite squad of Rebel Alliance members. This squad had encountered Killdroids while navigating No-Space. After the rebels boarded the ship, Blythe used a speaker system to greet the "news" and communicated that they would require the rebels' weapons. Captain Amilyn Holdo responded by stating they would not relinquish their weapons. Blythe acknowledged their decision but countered by stating that if they refused to throw their weapons beyond the ship's magnetic shield, he would initiate the venting of the air lock where the rebels were located. The rebels then complied with the demand, and Holdo informed Blythe that they were now defenseless, and inquired about the next course of action.
Blythe extended a welcome to the rebels, inviting them to the Colony of Kezarat, where they learned they were being taken to the Kezarat tanker. General Leia Organa expressed gratitude to Blythe for saving their lives and offered whatever assistance the rebels could provide in return. However, she emphasized their need to understand their current location and the reasons preventing their departure, as they needed to return home. Blythe explained that they were in No-Space, where normal rules were suspended. He further explained that individuals occasionally found their way to No-Space, initially arriving as "news" and eventually becoming "olds," emphasizing that no one had discovered an exit for over two centuries. Blythe concluded by advising the rebels to embrace a particular idea instead of focusing on returning home, before opening a door and revealing themselves and telling the rebels No-Space was now their home. He was related to the Blythe family.
