Forvan, a male human, was a resident of the Colony of Kezarat in No-Space. This location was once the site of the Nihil's headquarters, a notorious marauder group. He was the son of the Blythe, who served as the captain of the convoy. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, well after the Nihil's demise, Forvan encountered an elite squad from the Rebel Alliance. These rebels had been transported to No-Space via a Nihil Path engine while trying to evade the clutches of the Galactic Empire. The young Forvan inquired about the rebels' supply of flavors, and in return for information about their whereabouts, General Leia Organa provided him with a pack of ration sticks. The boy then revealed that the place was formerly significant, but it was the only place he lived. He further explained that older inhabitants of No-Space spoke of a place with greater variety, though he had never been there himself. Before he could elaborate, a sudden noise startled him. He expressed his gratitude to Organa for the food, stated his need to depart, and advised the rebels to seek cover. As he fled, Organa attempted to question him about his fear and destination, but he remained unresponsive.
The boy then proceeded toward a precipice, where Lando Calrissian questioned his intended course of action. In response, Jedi Padawan Luke Skywalker declared that he sensed the boy's profound fear and uncertainty about his destination. Skywalker then added that he intended to use the Force to prevent the boy from going over the edge. To the rebels' amazement, the boy leaped off the edge, immediately activating a jetpack and departing the scene. With the boy gone, the rebels observed the source of his fear: a group of droids. Following the rebels' rescue by a ship from the colony, Blythe requested that they discard their weapons outside the ship's magnetic shield. As the rebels complied, the boy reappeared and intercepted their weapons, placing them into a sack. One of the weapons, Skywalker's lightsaber, captured the boy's attention. He ignited it, noticing its yellow blade. Skywalker cautioned the boy to handle the saber with care to avoid injury, but the boy disregarded the warning and flew away with the ignited saber.
