The Blythe family was a group of humans. They hailed from the Core World of Alderaan. A small offshoot of this family, including Ottoh, Erika Blythe, and their offspring Ronn and Bailen Blythe, decided to seek a less complicated existence by moving to the Outer Rim planet of Elphrona. Unfortunately, they became targets of the Nihil pirates, who planned to kidnap them and demand ransom from their affluent family members. The real reason for the attack, though, was to seize a Jedi, because it was known that Elphrona housed a outpost of the Jedi Order. Porter Engle, Indeera Stokes, and Bell Zettifar, all Jedi, came to the rescue of Erika, Ronn, and Bailen. However, while trying to save Ottoh, Jedi Master Loden Greatstorm was taken prisoner. Later, Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro killed Ottoh, since Ro had obtained the Jedi captive he desired. Following these events, Erika and her children returned to Alderaan to reside with their relatives.
