Breshig, a world located in the Outer Rim Territories, was situated within the Mandalore sector. Serving as the homeworld for the trill beast species, it fell under the dominion of the Mandalorian warrior culture's space. Leading up to the Mandalorian Wars, which spanned from 3976 BBY to 3960 BBY, warships of the Mandalorian fleet were constructed on Breshig. Its significance in Mandalorian history was later highlighted by Vilnau Teupt during their keynote address, "Industry, Honor, Savagery: Shaping the Mandalorian Soul," at the 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History in 24 ABY.
This world, known as Breshig, resided within the Breshig system. It was a component of the Mandalore sector, specifically within the Trans-Hydian region of the Outer Rim Territories. Breshig functioned as the original homeworld for the trill beasts.
At some point, Breshig encountered the Mandalorian Crusaders, a warrior culture that originated from the Taung species. These warriors engaged in the Mandalorian Crusades, an interstellar campaign rooted in war-worship that had been ongoing since 7000 BBY. Consequently, the planet was integrated into the Mandalorian-controlled territories of space. Subsequently, the Mandalorian Neo-Crusader faction utilized Breshig, along with other locations, to build warships in preparation for their conflict with the Galactic Republic between 3976 BBY and 3960 BBY.
In the period between 0 ABY and 3 ABY, the fiftieth-anniversary edition of Galladinium's Galactic Datalog of Fantastic Technology made note of a recent incident. In this incident, a pre-recorded sound chip featuring the sounds of a Breshig trill beast was employed to disguise the transport of Garcornian spice. The spice was being transported within a T-P-C4 Live Organism Comfort Conveyor aboard the luxury liner Alamintari. Later, Vilnau Teupt referenced Breshig and its role in Mandalorian history during the keynote address "Industry, Honor, Savagery: Shaping the Mandalorian Soul." This address was given at Brentaal Academy's 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History in 24 ABY.
The name of Breshig initially appeared in Galladinium's Fantastic Technology. This 1995 sourcebook, penned by Rick D. Stuart, was designed for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The 2009 reference work, The Essential Atlas, situated the Breshig system, and consequently Breshig itself, within grid square O-7. The 2012 reference book titled The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart, was the first to establish Breshig as a distinct planetary body.
