Brood pouch

A brood pouch was a physiological feature unique to the Hutt species. For the initial fifty years of their existence, Hutt parents sheltered their Huttlet offspring within this pouch. Following this period, the Huttlets would leave the pouch, exhibiting a mental state comparable to that of a human infant. The Huttlet named Rotta, who was the son of the notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt, emerged from his parent's brood pouch sometime between approximately 24 BBY and 22 BBY.
