Cait was a part of the 61st Mobile Infantry of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War that opposed the Galactic Empire. Her role within the company was that of a Forward Air Controller, and she was responsible for guiding the X-wing starfighters to their designated objectives.
The 61st was sent to the planet of Allst Prime sometime between 2 BBY and 0 BBY with the mission to attack the Imperial outpost stationed there. During this conflict, Cait was killed. Micha Evon, who was the captain of the 61st, then grabbed her communication device and started issuing commands to the X-wings. At the same time, the bounty hunter named Brand noticed Cait's deceased form from a distance and investigated the injuries she had sustained.
Janine K. Spendlove penned the short story "Inbrief," in which Cait's lifeless body is shown. It was initially released in Star Wars Insider 161 on November 10, 2015.
