Calvaria

In the year 23 BBY, Calvaria was an 18-year-old Human female and the princess of Nallastia. She was the daughter of the Margravine Quenelle, also known as the Skull Queen of Nallastia, and spent her formative years within the walls of the Skull Queen's fortress situated atop Mount Octan.

Biography

When Klay Firewell's parents were brought before the moon's Skull Queen at her fortress, destined for sacrificial imprisonment within a massive energy field, the Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker resorted to taking Calvaria as a hostage. His aim was to negotiate for the release of the condemned parents. Quenelle, the Skull Queen, conceded to Skywalker's demands. After Skywalker's Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, with Calvaria's help, successfully located the Lost Stars of Nallastia and secured the freedom of Klay's parents, Calvaria was released unharmed.

Both Calvaria and Quenelle expressed their desire to wed Kenobi, even though Calvaria was already engaged to prince Alto of the Raptor Clan. However, Calvaria's heart truly belonged to a mechanic named Rench. She would secretly journey to the nearby planet of Fondor to rendezvous with him. Having been raised as royalty, the Princess of the Skull Clan yearned to know how people would perceive her if they were unaware of her noble status. During a trade expedition to Fondor, she encountered Rench and introduced herself as Klara, an assistant to the Margravine Quenelle, which wasn't entirely untrue. Calvaria never anticipated falling in love with Rench and felt a sense of guilt for having concealed her true identity from him.

Before Calvaria could reveal the truth to Rench after escaping from her mother's fortress, Groodo the Hutt seized control of the spaceport where Rench was employed. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Calvaria was captured by the last functional FX medical assistant droid remaining after Jedi Master Mace Windu unleashed his lightsaber upon Groodo the Hutt's Droid Control Army. Eventually, Quenelle, along with the Jedi Bultar Swan, Windu, and Kit Fisto, successfully liberated the spaceport, and Mace Windu was responsible for Calvaria's rescue.

Upon returning to her mother's fortress, the Princess retired to her chambers to rest on what was supposed to be her wedding day to Prince Alto. At that moment, she received a visitor - her beloved Rench, the mechanic. He revealed that he had no idea that she was the Skull Queen's daughter. Calvaria apologized for her deception, but Rench deduced that she had done so in the hope that he would fall in love with her for who she was, not her royal position. He then asked for her forgiveness, revealing that his true name was not Rench, but Alto, Prince of the Raptor Clan. A joyous wedding would indeed take place that day.
