Candace's C.O.

An individual, identified as a human Imperial officer, served as the commanding officer of Candace under the authority of the Galactic Empire during the era of the Galactic Civil War. During the year 0 BBY, this commanding officer was situated aboard the Tantive IV with the objective of pursuing the Rebellions. He received directives to purchase a fresh set of socks for Darth Vader, a duty he subsequently delegated to Candace, Baljeet, and Buford. Candace reluctantly accepted this task and departed to acquire the socks.

Subsequently, on the planet of Tatooine, the commanding officer encountered Candace once more and inadvertently disclosed information regarding the missing Death Star plans, thereby igniting Candace's desire to locate them. He promptly suppressed Candace's burgeoning interest and instructed her to proceed with her assigned mission. Candace eventually fulfilled her responsibility and delivered a bag to the commanding officer, mistakenly believing it contained the socks. Subsequently, he departed the desert planet utilizing a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle with the intention of delivering the new socks to DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station for Darth Vader.

Upon arrival at his intended destination, the officer proceeded to meet with Darth Vader to finalize the mission. Regrettably, the bag contained not socks, but instead a bantha cheese hoagie, which was intended as Buford's meal. Enraged and disappointed, Vader employed the Force choke technique on the commanding officer, ultimately leading to his death.
