Chad, the homeworld of the sentient Chadra-Fan species, existed within the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. This planet was also the origin of a blue dressing called Chadian dressing.
The initial reference to Chad appeared in Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, a Star Wars Legends sourcebook for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game authored by Troy Denning in 1989. Its designation as canon occurred later, through its mention in the Databank entry dedicated to the Chadra-Fan species, which was featured on StarWars.com.
