The Chamber of Fortitude existed as one of the Jedi Meditation Chambers that were centuries old, situated on the planet Koboh found in the Outer Rim. During the High Republic Era, this chamber was built as a location for Jedi and Republic scientists to perform research on the distinctive qualities of Koboh and the Koboh Abyss. In contrast to many other chambers that were built under the direction of Jedi Master Santari Khri, the Chamber of Fortitude did not obviously present a challenge to Jedi. Instead, it opened into a round room, with the shrine room located directly ahead. By 9 BBY, at least a couple of other rooms were inaccessible because of fallen rubble. When the Jedi and the Republic had a significant presence on Koboh, a Jedi Knight who was visiting the chamber conducted a tour for a Republic scientist. The Jedi explained how each chamber enhanced a different aspect of their training, and this tour enabled them to explore ways to improve their collaborative efforts.
By 9 BBY, the sealed turbolift that provided access to the Chamber of Fortitude was discovered at the base of a derelict silo. However, the recorded voice of Khri remained operational, greeting Jedi as they arrived at the chamber. She reminded them that their mind, supported by the Force, was their strongest defense against the forces of darkness.
The 2023 video game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, marked the initial appearance of the Chamber of Fortitude. The chamber was an optional mission where players could investigate a rumor. Within the chamber, players could find several collectibles, including two databank entries, a datadisc concealed within ceramic pottery, a two-tone metal paint material for BD-1, and the Persistence perk. This perk restored a small amount of Cal's Life meter whenever an enemy was defeated while in Slow mode.
