Charlu Sisi

Charlu Sisi was a performer from Kessur, specifically a dancer, who belonged to a Kessurian dance group. This group also featured Sylphanie Stil and Vanbec Recliva as members. This dance troupe participated in the Festival of the Ancestors held on Aki-Aki while the First Order and the Resistance were at war.

Behind the scenes

The character Charlu Sisi made their debut in the 2019 Star Wars movie, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Their identity was initially revealed in the reference guide, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary. The role was played by the actress Charlotte Louise, who also served as the inspiration for the character's name. Calum Alexander Watt designed a costume concept for the character, using concept art previously created by Jake Lunt Davies for a possible inhabitant of Kijimi in the film. Watt, not knowing that the characters were dancers, depicted them carrying rifles.
