Jake Lunt Davies is an independent concept designer. His portfolio includes work on several Star Wars projects: Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, Andor, and most recently, The Acolyte. He is also involved in at least one forthcoming movie.
During the production of The Force Awakens, he was responsible for designing characters and creatures such as the Bobbajo, Roodown, B-U4D, Luggabeast, Happabore, Rey's speeder, PZ-4CO, the Steelpecker, Rathtars, various Abednedos, BB-8 and Zuvio. For The Last Jedi, his designs included the Porgs, the Caretakers, the Thala-siren, 2BB-2, BB-9E, and Dobbu Scay. He designed AL1-L3 and HT-IN-4 for Solo. For The Rise of Skywalker, he designed Efrem LX and contributed to the designs of D-O, the Aki-Aki, and the Eye of Webbish Bog.
On November 15, 2018, Lunt Davies announced via his Instagram account the completion of his work on Episode IX, marking a five-year period dedicated to the Star Wars franchise. He had a cameo in Episode IX during the Festival of the Ancestors, portraying a Snivvian, a species that initially appeared in the cantina scene of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
Davies came back to work on the 2022 series Andor, where he created the design for B2EM0.
Additionally, he created the cover art for the The High Republic: Tales from the Occlusion Zone short stories published in Star Wars Insider between 2023 and 2024.
