This droid, identified as female, played a role in the Resistance during their fight against the First Order, roughly thirty years after the pivotal Battle of Endor. Operating from within the Resistance base control centers, she provided vital tactical information and communication support for Resistance activities. A significant part of her work involved assisting General Leia Organa, the Resistance's iconic leader, in documenting her experiences during the Galactic Civil War in a memoir.
Nicknamed Peazy, PZ-4CO was a PZ protocol droid who provided support to the Resistance as they fought against the First Order a few decades following the Battle of Endor. Stationed at the Resistance base located on D'Qar, she was often found in the Resistance control rooms, where she aided in operations by supplying technical data and acting as a communications hub for Resistance officers.
As part of her responsibilities within the Resistance, Peazy was tasked with assisting General Leia Organa in writing the general's memoirs. She also received help from Resistance Major Caluan Ematt in preparing for the interviews with the Princess of [Alderaan](/article/alderaan]. Despite Organa's initial reluctance to write her memoirs, which took Peazy forty-four days to overcome, Peazy believed it was crucial to record them, given Organa's pivotal role in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. To begin, Organa recounted her leadership of Operation Yellow Moon, a mission that occurred shortly before the Battle of [Endor](/article/endor], as the general felt its emphasis on duty would be valuable for the members of the Resistance.
PZ-4CO was a protocol droid programmed with feminine characteristics, indicated by her high-pitched, female voice. A tall droid, she was covered in blue plating, accented with red markings across her armor. She was equipped with a holorecorder that could extend from and retract into her torso. This recorder was used to conduct interviews with General Organa for her memoirs, which Peazy considered important due to Organa's iconic status in the Resistance's fight against the First Order.
The character PZ-4CO was created for the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, where she was depicted as a member of the Resistance. Her initial appearance was in the novel Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure, authored by Cecil Castellucci and Jason Fry.
