Churkk, hailing from the planet Gand, was a member of the Gand species. In his youth, Churkk made the decision to depart from the Gand homeworld, even though he believed Gands should remain there; ultimately, he found himself on the barren world of Parnassos. He took up residence by a fence bordering the dead lands, where he remained dormant for a period of years. He was awakened when Phasma, accompanied by several Scyre warriors, Brendol Hux, and a pair of First Order stormtroopers, stumbled upon his location. This Gand possessed a limited ability to communicate with the sand beetles that crawled across his body harmlessly, and he cautioned those passing by about the dangers present within the dead lands. Churkk eventually met his death from a blaster injury during a brief conflict that erupted between Phasma's party and opposing forces consisting of Scyre and Claw clan members.
