Wedge Antilles quipped that this preventative measure was taken out of concern that she might crash her T-47 airspeeder into the local terrain. Post-Battle of Hoth, Tarheel was handpicked by Wes Janson for recruitment into the newly reformed Red Squadron, under Antilles' command. Designated Red Twelve as her callsign, she served as wingmate to Will Scotian during an attack aimed at neutralizing a nearby pirate stronghold, which posed a threat to the Alliance's secret meeting location.
