Once, Hunters of the Outer Rim contestant Rieve was the frontwoman for Corellia's Not Dead, a gonkrock band. This group, consisting of four members, was the brainchild of vocalist Rieve and percussionist Yemar, who established it in Hutta Town on Nar Shaddaa. Their initial meeting occurred when Rieve, in her capacity as a courier, was making a delivery to the cartel for which Yemar provided security, leading to a quick friendship. Bonding over their mutual enthusiasm for the emerging music genre of gonkrock, they solidified their connection. Within a year, the duo expanded to include Ully, a female Zabrak musician playing low-end instruments, and Boornan, a female human who played the seven-string hallikset. Boornan uniquely enhanced her hallikset's sound by connecting it to a GNK power droid. The band's moniker, Corellia's Not Dead, was Rieve's idea, intended to serve as a constant reminder to the galaxy of her homeworld's enduring spirit.
As time passed, the band's popularity grew, and they performed at many venues around Nar Shaddaa. Some of these shows were not officially sanctioned, which led to them being shut down. Their performances, known for their legendary and sometimes violent nature, attracted a dedicated following, though they remained mostly confined to local venues. Despite this, unofficial recordings of their music circulated widely on audiochips throughout the galaxy.
Around 9 ABY, Corellia's Not Dead was the main act at Yoshoyan's, which brought in a huge, packed crowd. From the very first song, the audience was ecstatic. However, an instigator seized the device that Gortri, the sound system operator, used to communicate with Rieve's commbud. He yelled into Rieve's ear, causing her performance to stumble. His words brought back some of Rieve's trauma from her time in Coronet City, causing her to spiral. When Boornan approached the singer, Rieve used the Force to push her back. The heckler continued, and Rieve erupted, using the Force without control. She parted the crowd, approached the man, and began crumbling the structure of the building. Rieve was taken out of her rage by the sight of a terrified Jablogian fan. She fled from Yoshoyan's to her home, collected her things, then went to the spaceport to leave Nar Shaddaa.
Months later, Yemar had become the singer for a new gonkrock band. They were performing at the Oasis Cantina on Vespaara, a planet in the Outer Rim, when he noticed Rieve in the audience. Yemar stopped the show to invite his former bandmate and friend to join him on stage for a special reunion. The audience, many of whom were fans of Corellia's Not Dead, were delighted by their performance of "Forever." Following the performance, Yemar's new band had to depart the planet, but he and Rieve reconnected.
