The Corvair sector was a sector situated within the Inner Rim Territories, notable for including the moon known as Kudo III. In the course of the Clone Wars, forces of the Galactic Republic came under attack within this sector, targeted by droid starfighters belonging to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. This event spurred Republic Intelligence to uncover a droid foundry located on Kudo III. The Separatists, in their strategy, intentionally permitted the Republic to find this foundry, with the expectation that its destruction would result in the death of the enslaved Kudon population laboring there.
