Croynar sector

The Croynar sector was situated at a considerable distance from the Core Worlds of the galaxy, a region that encompassed the Midgor star system. During 5 ABY, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, a unit devoted to the Galactic Empire, launched an assault on an Imperial convoy within Midgor. This convoy was supporting the Yomo Council, an Imperial faction that had separated from the main Empire, amidst the broader context of its campaign against other renegade Imperial groups.

Concurrently, the New Republic's military units obtained information from the information merchant known as the Oracle, indicating the 204th's presence in the Croynar sector. Given the strategic importance of three systems within the sector, Midgor included, the New Republic dispatched a starfighter wing to the area. Upon arrival, the squadrons of this wing came across the destroyed convoy, a result of the 204th's attack. Subsequently, the fighter wing requested the assistance of the New Republic's upgraded Star Destroyer Deliverance, and aided the convoy's remaining survivors.
