On the planet Kamino, CT-66-3238 was born as a clone derived from the bounty hunter Jango Fett. Like the other clones, CT-66-3238 was created to serve in the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic. In the early days of the Clone Wars, which pitted the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, CT-66-3238 was a member of Bravo Squad, a squad composed of clone cadets undergoing training on Kamino. During their time in training, Squad Bravo achieved a record-breaking completion time on a practice exam. ARC trooper Commander Colt from Rancor Battalion arrived to oversee the final evaluations, and Bravo Squad, alongside Domino Squad and two other squads, were summoned to a hangar within the Tipoca City Military Complex to hear Colt's address. Colt chose Bravo Squad to undertake the final test first, citing their exceptional performance on the practice test.
From Citadel Challenge version THX variable 1138 onward, CT-66-3238, CT-66-3339, and CT-27-3555 advanced on the right flank, while CT-66-3232 and CT-66-3233 maneuvered on the left. CT-66-3232 instructed CT-66-3238 and CT-66-3339 to push forward and engage the training battle droids, with CT-66-3232 and CT-66-3233 providing support from behind. The squad progressed, ultimately reaching the citadel's base. CT-66-3339 then instructed CT-66-3238 to advance toward the citadel while the rest of the squad provided covering fire. CT-66-3238 successfully rappelled up the structure and secured the light post, thus completing the exam. As they exited the arena, CT-66-3238 and his squadmates encountered the approaching Domino Squad, prompting CT-66-3233 to taunt them.
CT-66-3238 exhibited competency in working as a team, which was a factor in their successful completion of the final exam. He demonstrated the ability to follow instructions and effectively utilized his ascension cable to climb the citadel and seize the light post.
The clone training armor worn by CT-66-3238 featured the red markings associated with Bravo Squad, the number three displayed on his chest plate and left shoulder [armor](/article/armor], his designation imprinted on his left leg, and he was armed with a DC-15A blaster carbine firing non-lethal bolts, in addition to carrying an ascension cable.
The identification number of this Bravo Squad cadet was first seen in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "Clone Cadets." It shows 66-3238, and the CT- prefix was already determined. This method of determining identification numbers was verified by the troopers in Domino Squad.
CT-66-3238's identification number can also be observed on the armor of the third member of the unidentified squad of cadets who have yellow markings.
