Curran Caladian was a Svivreni male, according to legends, who served as an aide within the Senate. Tyro Caladian was his cousin.
Curran, along with his brother Tyro, functioned as Senatorial aides as the Republic neared its end. When Emperor Palpatine transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire, Curran opted to vanish rather than be complicit in the new, corrupt regime. During Order 66, he and Dexter Jettster went into hiding, becoming part of the Erased. They felt secure from the Empire until Ferus Olin, a Jedi survivor, alerted them to the Empire's planned assault on the lower levels of Coruscant, which threatened their refuge. Curran agreed to visit Solace's hideout, but Dex chose to stay behind because he wasn't very mobile. After Dexter stayed in the lower levels, Curran and Ferus were guided by Solace beneath the surface.
While the Erased were caught off guard and unable to defend against the onslaught of Imperial stormtroopers, Curran managed to escape using an Imperial glider. With the assistance of Solace and Trever, who had returned without Ferus, they successfully fled, while the Empire apprehended several other members of the resistance. After Solace informed Curran of Ferus' capture, he, along with Keets Freely and Oryon, resolved to use their connections to locate the missing Jedi. They collectively discovered that Ferus had been taken to an Imperial prison on the planet of Dontamo. Together, with support from Solace and Trever, they boarded a freighter and prepared to journey to the planet. After chasing down a couple of Imperial fighters, they soon learned that Ferus had managed to escape from prison and travel to Naboo upon hearing that the Imperial Inquisitor Malorum was investigating clues related to Senator Amidala's death.
Following the Naboo incident, Curran and the others accompanied Ferus back to Coruscant, where they discovered that Palpatine had captured Roan Lands and Dona Telamark. Curran and Keets decided to remain on the planet to gather information, while Ferus went to rescue Roan and Dona. The pair made their way to the Imperial Senate Building and infiltrated the office of Senator Sano Sauro to find the information they needed. They successfully escaped with the aid of Wa-7, Dex's former waitress droid.
