Fy-Tor-Ana was a Jedi Master of the Human species (a female), who dedicated her service to the Jedi Order as an instructor stationed at the Jedi Temple of Coruscant during the decline of the Galactic Republic. Following the commencement of the Great Jedi Purge and the rise of the New Order, she adopted the alias Solace and concealed herself beneath Coruscant's surface. Initially mistaken for a place, Solace was revealed to be the Jedi Master by former Jedi Ferus Olin.
As a Human individual with sensitivity to the Force, Fy-Tor-Ana underwent training in its ways by the Jedi Order. She achieved the rank of Jedi Master after constructing a lightsaber with a green blade and successfully passing the Trials of Knighthood. Despite being a respected Jedi, she maintained a reclusive demeanor, rarely engaging with her fellow instructors and declining to take on a Padawan. Celebrated for her exceptional reflexes, elegance, and agility, Master Ana received an appointment from the Jedi High Council to serve as an instructor at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. She imparted the Art of Movement technique to Jedi Initiates at the Temple academy, utilizing the obstacle course for her classes. During her tenure as an instructor, Master Ana taught numerous Initiates, including a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Having survived the Clone Wars, a devastating conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Ana was compelled to go into hiding when Supreme Chancellor Palpatine executed Contingency Order 66 to the Grand Army of the Republic, effectively dissolving the Jedi Order. Escaping the carnage of the Great Jedi Purge, Master Ana sought refuge on the Jedi world Ilum alongside fellow Master Garen Muln. Concealing themselves within the frozen wastelands' Crystal Caves, Ana could not remain detached from the Republic's situation for long. She soon departed Ilum alone, heading for Coruscant. When Ana failed to return, Master Muln presumed her dead. Muln shared details of Fy-Tor-Ana's plans with former Jedi Ferus Olin, who had visited Ilum in search of survivors; Olin then journeyed to Coruscant to locate the missing Jedi.
Master Ana did, in fact, reach Coruscant. Upon discovering the Jedi Temple in ruins, she was forced to seek refuge underground. Venturing deep into the ecumenopolis's crust, Master Ana took control of a settlement situated above a vast subterranean ocean. Adopting the name Solace, Master Ana's existence transformed into a legend, leaving her Jedi identity behind to assist those fleeing persecution by the Galactic Empire. When Ferus Olin arrived on Coruscant, he heard tales of Ana being held within the Temple's depths. Finding the Temple occupied by stormtroopers but devoid of Jedi, he followed rumors down into the planet's crust, searching for what he believed to be a settlement named Solace. A guide greeted him at the entrance to the subterranean passage, leading Olin to the hidden city and revealing herself as the former Jedi Master.
Ana reacted with disdain when Olin attempted to persuade her to return to the Temple, but she was eventually convinced when Olin revealed that Imperial Inquisitor Malorum had planted a spy within her community. Agreeing to assist Olin and his associate Trever Flume in infiltrating the Jedi Temple and thwarting Malorum's efforts to locate them, she guided them into the Temple's heart, only to find themselves ambushed by Imperials. During the ambush, Ana was forced to abandon Olin while escorting the young Flume out of the Temple, returning to her settlement amidst an attack. As her new home burned, she managed to rally survivors and escape to the surface. Master Ana and Flume, accompanied by the Bothan Oryon and former reporter Keets Freely, sought assistance from Dexter Jettster to find Olin. They located him on a ship with his friend Clive Flax, escaping the prison world of Dontamo. They tracked Malorum to the planet Naboo and received aid from Boss Rugor Nass and the Gungans in their attempt to reclaim Naboo.
Later, when Olin was compelled to assist Emperor Palpatine on the planet Samaria, Master Ana traveled to Bellassa to rescue Roan Lands and Dona Telamark, two of Olin's friends, from execution. Accompanied by Oryon and Flume, she enlisted the help of The Eleven and successfully freed them. They then journeyed to Samaria to assist Olin in saving Astri Oddo and her son Lune from stormtroopers. Everyone escaped except Olin, who remained on the planet, knowing that Palpatine would have further tasks for him. During their downtime, the Jedi and their group of outcasts established a base on a hidden asteroid near Bellassa, preparing it for Olin's vision of locating Jedi survivors there.
When the asteroid was eventually discovered by the Empire, Masters Ana and Muln ensured that the young Lune Divinian escaped before the Imperials unleashed their secret superweapon, destroying the asteroid and the Jedi. Before her demise, Master Ana found peace with the Force and her allies, proud to die as a Jedi surrounded by friends.
