Dagonet was a senator in the Galactic Republic, identified as a human male. The son of Senator Dagonet was, at one point, abducted on Wayyl, their homeworld. Subsequently, two Jedi, Dooku along with his Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn, journeyed to the planet with the purpose of rescuing the young man. Upon arriving, they discovered the kidnappers were organized to protest Dagonet's negligence, a sentiment shared by his son.
Shortly after the Jedi's arrival, Dagonet and his forces appeared, acting ruthlessly towards the civilians and demanding their punishment. As Dagonet threatened the kidnappers, Dooku intervened, employing the Force to choke the arrogant senator. Jinn, alarmed, attempted to intervene, but Dooku used a Force push to repel him. Jinn, together with the senator's son, managed to prevent Dooku from killing Dagonet.
Dagonet was a human male characterized by blue eyes, light skin, and brown hair featuring grey streaks. His hair was neatly combed back, extending into a small mullet, and he sported a beard.
According to the village elder, Dagonet was initially a virtuous man who prioritized the well-being of his people. However, his extended tenure in power led to increasing neglect of their suffering and conditions. The senator developed arrogance, aggression, and ruthlessness, demonstrated when he ordered his soldiers to fire upon the villagers after Jedi Master Dooku refused to release his son. Following his near-death experience at Dooku's hands, Dagonet experienced a change of heart after his son questioned his indifference to his people's suffering.
Dagonet's debut occurred in the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi episode "Justice", which premiered on October 26, 2022. Mark Rolston portrayed him.
