Darth Shaa

Darth Shaa was a Sith Lady who was both humanoid and female, ultimately achieving the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. Upon learning about a sculptor named Momin, who possessed Force-sensitivity and was being held captive by his own people, Lady Shaa made the decision to liberate him, subsequently designating him as her apprentice. However, her life was cut short when she was slain by this very apprentice. Her weapons of choice were two red Sith lightsabers.

Biography

Training Momin

Shaa's death at the hands of her apprentice, Momin

Darth Shaa existed as a Sith female humanoid prior to the establishment of the Sith Rule of Two, a doctrine conceived by Darth Bane following the conclusion of the Jedi-Sith War and the subsequent reorganization of the Galactic Republic. She eventually rose to the rank of Lady within the Sith Order, earning the prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Sith and wielding a pair of red Sith lightsabers. During her era, she became aware of Momin, an individual with Force-sensitivity who was imprisoned due to his artistic endeavors. Shaa proceeded to free Momin, killing the guards and breaking into his cell, and then took him on as her Sith apprentice. Over a period of time, she provided instruction to Momin, who benefited greatly from her teachings and also earned the title of Darth, crafting his own lightsabers. During his time as Darth Momin's apprentice, he created the Mask of Lord Momin and disfigured his own face.

Despite being under Darth Shaa's guidance, Darth Momin could never grasp why Lady Shaa referred to herself as Momin's master when he was her apprentice. Momin was aware that he would never possess the audacity to declare himself a master, yet he considered being labeled an apprentice as unacceptable. Shaa held a different view, and during a lightsaber duel, Momin demonstrated the error in her thinking by impaling her in the abdomen with one of his lightsabers, resulting in her death sometime between 1,100 BBY and 1000 BBY.

Legacy

Following Shaa's demise, Momin dedicated himself to studying the lore of the dark side of the Force by exploring its prominent locations. Through these investigations, Momin came to the realization that his intended audience was not the inhabitants of the galaxy, but rather the Force itself. Despite vowing to never take on an apprentice, Momin maintained a group of acolytes who provided assistance in achieving his objectives. Eventually, utilizing resources inherited from Shaa, Momin developed a superweapon with the intention of destroying a city, but his plans were thwarted by the Jedi Order. Momin's physical form was obliterated during these events, but his spirit endured within the mask.

At some point, the raiment previously owned by Shaa came into the possession of Lady Qi'ra, the leader of the Crimson Dawn syndicate. The Archivist presented it to Kho Phon Farrus as an enticement to continue their efforts to free an ancient Sith Lord contained within the Fermata Cage. Farrus accepted the offer, fully aware of the potential risks to their life.

In 3 ABY, Sith cultists affiliated with the Sith Eternal repeated Shaa's name in a manner akin to a chant, alongside the names of other Sith, while exploring the catacombs situated beneath the Sith Citadel on the planet Exegol.

Personality and traits

Shaa took Momin as her apprentice

Darth Shaa, a female humanoid being, ultimately ascended to the position of a lady. She possessed brown hair, black eyes, and skin of a grey hue. Upon hearing of Momin's talents, she resolved to seek him out, believing that she could take him on as her apprentice. However, Shaa's confidence in Momin ultimately led to her downfall: finding the role of apprentice to be undesirable, Momin ended Shaa's life by impaling her with one of his lightsabers.

Skills and abilities

Darth Shaa demonstrated proficiency in wielding a pair of lightsabers effectively in combat, occasionally employing a reverse grip with one hand while maintaining a standard grip with the other. Shaa was capable of engaging Momin in a duel for a period of time, but she failed to anticipate that he would seize the opportunity to murder her during their confrontation. Shaa possessed extensive knowledge of the Force and its dark side, and she was able to impart this knowledge to Momin.

Equipment

Darth Shaa made use of a set of red Sith lightsabers and a helmet that obscured her face. She also wore an outfit adorned with spikes and a cape.

Behind the scenes
