The Derriphan, a Xyston-class Star Destroyer belonging to the Final Order, held the distinction of being the inaugural vessel launched from Exegol. Famously, it was responsible for the destruction of the planet Kijimi. Its designation was derived from the Sith term signifying "devourer."

Assembled as part of Darth Sidious's Final Order, the Derriphan stood as one among 1,080 Xyston-class Star Destroyers. Under Sidious's command, the Derriphan achieved the first successful launch from Exegol, the base of the fleet. The sheer number of ships made simultaneous departure from the planet impossible without a navigational beacon to guide them.
Subsequently, Sidious instructed Allegiant General Enric Pryde to select a planet linked to the Resistance for a demonstration of power through annihilation. Kijimi, a planet of ice, was the chosen target. After General Pryde initiated Protocol 13 for the garrison, the Derriphan employed its axial superlaser to completely obliterate the planet. Following this act, the Star Destroyer returned to Exegol to rejoin the fleet. As the Sith fleet prepared to leave the planet, the Resistance, later joined by the Citizens' Fleet, attacked and destroyed all of the thousands of Sith Star Destroyers, which included the Derriphan and its entire complement of crew.
The initial canon appearance of the Derriphan was in the 2019 Star Wars saga movie, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Its formal identification occurred within the associated visual dictionary. In the "A Certain Point of View" section of Star Wars Insider 213, an image of the Derriphan is mistakenly used to represent the Steadfast.
Within Star Wars Legends continuity, "Derriphan" designated a specific type of dark side creature.
