Chesille Sabrond

On the planet Exegol, situated within the Unknown Regions, Chesille Sabrond was born in the year 5 ABY. She was raised by the Sith Eternal cult, undergoing lifelong training in preparation for the launch of the Final Order that was being constructed on her birthplace. Throughout her rise through the hierarchy, she ended the lives of three people, undermined the efforts of two others, and experienced minimal rest for a period exceeding twenty years. Eventually, she achieved the position of captain aboard the Xyston-class Star Destroyer Derriphan within the fleet. In 35 ABY, Darth Sidious, the Sith Lord and leader of the Sith Eternal, established contact with the First Order, granting them access to the Sith fleet's resources for their conflict against the Resistance.

With Enric Pryde, the Allegiant General of the First Order, now exercising authority over the fleet, the Derriphan was the first of the Sith Eternal's Xyston-class Star Destroyers to be deployed from Exegol. Following Pryde's commands, they journeyed to the planet Kijimi, which had recently provided refuge to members of the Resistance, with the intention of demonstrating the First Order's newfound strength after their military base had been evacuated under Protocol 13. As the Derriphan neared its target, Milon Lenwith, a Lieutenant, informed Sabrond on the Star Destroyer's command center that they were within firing range. The Sith Eternal officer promptly issued the command to activate the capital ship's axial superlaser, resulting in the total obliteration of Kijimi. Shortly after this exhibition of force, the Derriphan was ordered back to Exegol, where it engaged in combat against the Resistance during the Battle of Exegol.

Sabrond remained aboard the Derriphan when the Resistance's aerial forces and ground troops arrived from Ajan Kloss. As a fleet technician from the fleet notified her of the Resistance's arrival, she received instructions from Pryde to deploy ion cannons against the Resistance. Eventually, the Resistance gained the advantage with the arrival of reinforcements, the Citizens' Fleet. The Resistance then engaged the Sith Star Destroyers in combat, destroying the superlasers to disable the warships. Ultimately, the Derriphan was overcome and destroyed by the Resistance and the galactic fleet, resulting in Sabrond's demise.

Like all youths raised by the Sith Eternal followers, Sabrond was indoctrinated to hold the power of the dark side of the Force in high regard, despite lacking the ability to wield it. They were also taught the harsh "reality" of existence, that might makes right. Sabrond showed no regard for living beings, as evidenced by her cold-blooded order to fire upon Kijimi, inwardly relishing the planet's destruction and suppressing the urge to celebrate in front of her crew due to it being unprofessional. Sabrond was driven by ambition, seeking recognition from Darth Sidious and Allegiant General Enric Pryde, whom she admired. Having been taught by the Sith Eternal to believe the galaxy was rightfully theirs, Sabrond was confident she could stand out among the Final Order's numerous captains, but Pryde viewed her as a mediocre captain lacking potential, her Star Destroyer intended as expendable cannon fodder.

Sabrond was a human with a height of 1.62 meters (equivalent to 5 feet and 4 inches), characterized by fair skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.

Sabrond was attired in a black and red Sith Eternal officer's uniform, which included a black kepi hat displaying a Sith Eternal crest, black gloves, and a black belt featuring a silver Imperial-style buckle containing an officer's disc.

Rochenda Sandall played the role of Chesille Sabrond in the 2019 sequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Her character was first identified in the companion reference book titled Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, authored by Pablo Hidalgo.
