Dilarium oil

Dilarium oil, a black oil variety, represented a key export commodity originating from the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine around 3 ABY. Valued for its low viscosity, each unit commanded a price of 280 credits. Two years later, in 5 ABY, crime lord Lorgan Movellan informed sheriff Cobb Vanth regarding the diverse interests the Hutt Clan held concerning Tatooine. Movellan pointed out that while he deemed resources such as dilarium oil and silicax oxalate valuable, the Hutts' primary fascination lay with the planet's population.

Production Notes

The 2017 novel Aftermath: Empire's End, penned by Chuck Wendig as the concluding book of Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy, featured a mention of dilarium oil. Its debut as an in-game item occurred in Star Wars Outlaws, a 2024 video game developed by Massive Entertainment. Within the game's mechanics, dilarium oil was exclusively used for sale to vendors in exchange for credits, lacking any other in-game purpose.
