A disintegrator staff was a type of staff characterized by its brown shaft and club-shaped ends. Watto, the Toydarian junk dealer, displayed a disintegrator staff, its ends wrapped, on the trophy shelf among his podracing memorabilia. This shelf was located at his junkshop in Mos Espa, a city on the planet of Tatooine. The event occurred in 32 BBY when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his group entered Watto's shop in search of a T-14 hyperdrive generator. The shelf’s contents included trophies gifted by famous podracers and their pit crews, items purloined from museums, and acquisitions by his agents at the illicit auctions that followed podraces with spectacular crashes.
