Douglas Boethling, an American video game producer, is known for his contributions to a variety of Star Wars projects and those related to the Star Wars universe. His career began at LucasArts in August of 2012, where he worked as a "Quality Assurance Tester." However, his time there was brief, concluding in April of 2013 without any significant credited roles. Following this, he spent just under a year with Sony Interactive Entertainment America before joining the Lucasfilm Games team in February of 2014. During his initial years with Lucasfilm Games, Boethling held the position of Lead QA Brand Tester, overseeing games such as Star Wars Battlefront, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Galactic Defense, Star Wars: Commander, and the Star Wars content within Disney Infinity 3.0.
He received a promotion to Associate Producer in July of 2016, leading to substantial work on Star Wars: Jedi Challenges and its subsequent expansions. He also continued his management role with Star Wars: Commander. Furthermore, he produced other titles, including Star Wars: Force Arena, Star Wars: Force Collection, Star Wars: Puzzle Droids, the Garmin vívofit jr. 2: Star Wars Themed Activity Tracker and its accompanying mobile application, as well as the Star Wars aspects of both Disney Emoji Blitz and LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum. As of May of 2021, Boethling advanced to the role of full Producer, heading the production of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and also serving as "Producer I" and "Producer II" on Star Wars: Hunters in addition to other ongoing Star Wars mobile games.
