Dredger Gorge was situated on the Outer Rim planet of Koboh, and was characterized by its meandering canyon structure that included abrupt ascents and descents. In Koboh's most prosperous period, local mining communities favored it as a place to search for priorite. However, by 9 BBY, the gorge's many cracks and crevices were littered with decaying equipment and inhabited by aggressive wildlife, including goroccos.
Before the arrival of prospectors on Koboh, the gorge was home to extensive and abundant tar pits. In their hunt for valuable priorite, prospectors built basic dams and reservoirs to divert tar away from areas that could be prospected. By 9 BBY, the gorge had become mostly deserted. After falling into disrepair, a dam in the gorge collapsed, resulting in the creation of several tar pits, which ultimately led to the death of at least one Koboh prospector. The destruction of some dams may have been intentional, as there were indications of sabotage on at least one of them. The Bedlam Raiders, a band of Koboh-based marauders commanded by the Gen'Dai fighter Rayvis, also took control of the gorge.
The existence of Dredger Gorge was first brought to light in an IGN review of the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
