During his tenure as a statesman of the Galactic Republic in the time of legends, the Alderaanian noble known as Eckhorn Baliss possessed a personal ship capable of transporting at least a single individual. Baliss, who was secretly a spy working for the Sith Empire during the Great Galactic War, endangered himself when he included the husband of Senator Verre Sydia on a list of potential sympathizers to the Empire.
Although Sydia's husband was also an Imperial operative, neither he nor Baliss were aware of the other's allegiance. Fearing that his true identity had been exposed, the Senator's husband illicitly utilized classified Senate funds to contract the services of Terrin Sandafar, a bounty hunter. In 3663 BBY, Sandafar planted explosive devices on Baliss' ship and triggered them while the noble was in orbit above his homeworld of Alderaan, resulting in Baliss' immediate death. While the incident was initially declared an accident, it was later revealed to be Sandafar's doing by the astromech droid T7-O1 and the Jedi Knight who was known as the Hero of Tython.
In BioWare's 2011 Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing video game, Eckhorn Baliss and his ship receive a brief mention during a series of conversations with the Jedi Knight companion character T7-O1.
