Verre Sydia's husband

As a clandestine operative for the Sith Empire, the spouse of Republic Senator Verre Sydia acted as a sleeper agent throughout their wife's political career during the times of the Great Galactic and Cold Wars. Ultimately, their true allegiance was uncovered by the astromech droid T7-O1.

Biography

During the Great Galactic and Cold Wars, a male married to Galactic Republic Senator Verre Sydia was actually a covert spy working for the Sith Empire. In 3663 BBY, Eckhorn Baliss, an Alderaanian noble who was also an Imperial operative, flagged Sydia's husband as a possible Imperial sympathizer, leading the man to fear exposure. Using the access afforded by his wife to classified Senate information, Sydia's husband contracted Terrin Sandafar, a bounty hunter, to assassinate Baliss by sabotaging his ship to explode over Alderaan, the noble's homeworld.

However, in 3653 BBY, Shafu, an ex-slaver, began an investigation into Baliss' death as part of an assignment from the late Jedi Master Ven Zallow. Sydia's husband once again hired Sandafar, this time to eliminate the Rodian Shafu above the moon of Nar Shaddaa. After eliminating Sandafar to cover his tracks, the man's deception remained intact for another decade until the Jedi Knight known as the Hero of Tython collaborated with T7-O1, the droid and former partner of Shafu, to reveal his true identity. Consequently, the Strategic Information Service, the intelligence agency of the Republic, apprehended Sydia's husband due to their investigation.
