The Eliminator was a Star Destroyer that served the Imperial Navy throughout the Galactic Civil War. Approximately a week following the Battle of Yavin in 0 ABY, where the Galactic Empire's Death Star battle station met its end, the Eliminator became a central component of the newly structured Imperial Starfleet, being one of about twelve Star Destroyers.
The Star Destroyers, accompanied by numerous transports and smaller ships, were arranged in a somewhat organized pattern at that time. While their transport was in the process of docking with the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Devastator, itself also a member of the fleet, the Imperial officers identified as NO-718 and NY-112 received instructions from their commander to present themselves to Lieutenant Commander Cherik aboard the Eliminator.
Lost Stars, a young-adult novel authored by Claudia Gray and published in 2015, contained the initial reference to the Eliminator.
