Endure represented a Force power within the repertoire of the Jedi, designed to grant resistance against bodily pain. During the events of the Battle of Nar Shaddaa, Jedi Master Crucitorn employed this very technique, effectively diminishing the agony caused by being immolated. The Jedi Master Lene Kostana imparted the secrets of this technique to the Jedi known as Dooku at some point falling between 102 BBY and 68 BBY. Dooku, in turn, shared this knowledge with his two Padawans, first with Rael Averross, and subsequently with Qui-Gon Jinn.
Several Jedi utilized Endure, a specific Force power, as a method to withstand physical pain. Those who had mastered this ability were able to overcome injuries and pain that would otherwise be deadly. Furthermore, Endure could also be employed to bolster another's pain tolerance.

During the Battle of Nar Shaddaa, Jedi Master Crucitorn leveraged the Force to endure the excruciating experience of being immolated amidst the conflict between the Jedi Order and the Flame-Wielders. Sometime between 102 BBY and 68 BBY, Jedi Master Lene Kostana passed on this technique to the Jedi Dooku. Dooku, in turn, instructed his two Padawans: Rael Averross, whom he trained roughly from 80 BBY to 70 BBY, and Qui-Gon Jinn, whom he began training in 68 BBY. To demonstrate the technique to Jinn, Dooku applied a metal band, a torture implement used by the Heltraxi, to his own chest.
Dooku later communicated to his sister, Jenza, about his exchange with Jinn through a holo-letter. Around 23 BBY, Dooku provided several data disks, which held his messages to Jenza, to Asajj Ventress, his newly recruited Sith assassin, for her investigation into his sister's whereabouts, and she listened to the holo-disk that mentioned Endure.
The concept of Endure was initially introduced within the 2018 sourcebook titled Knights of Fate, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game. It subsequently appeared in a flashback sequence within the 2019 audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, penned by Cavan Scott. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, a related Force power known as Crucitorn was first referenced within the 2002 reference book The New Essential Guide to Characters, authored by Daniel Wallace.
