Reymet Autem
As a Human male, Reymet Autem was the offspring of Sagoro Autem. Possessing a naturally impetuous disposition, he found great joy in participating in dangerous swoop-bike races through the refuse-filled depths of Coruscant. Following in his father's footsteps, Reymet enrolled in the Guards' Academy because of his family's connections to the Senate Guard, though he held no affection for the institution.
Biography
In 25 BBY, Reymet Autem was a student at the Leadership School on Andara, where he encountered Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin, Jedi who were posing as "transfer students". A brilliant mind when it came to computers, technology, and security systems, and with a penchant for practical jokes, Reymet aided them in the investigation of Gillam Tarturi, the son of Senator Berm Tarturi. Gillam had allegedly been kidnapped, but in reality, he had orchestrated his own staged murder to exact revenge on his father.
In 26 BBY, Reymet secured a position at the Staff College on the planet Andara, where he crossed paths with Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin, Padawans who were present to conduct research. He demonstrated his proficiency by expertly manipulating the technical institutes' systems, which were being tested by Ferus.
While at the Guards' Academy, Reymet was a solitary figure, lacking friends, a fact he shared with Anakin Skywalker. Following Ferus Olin's disappearance, Reymet guided Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi, Jedi Masters, to the Academy's ancient underground passages, from which they successfully rescued Ferus.
In 23 BBY, Reymet, who had been suspended from the Academy, unwittingly played a role in his uncle Venco's failed assassination attempt on Simon Greyshade. Already planning to leave the planet with his girlfriend, Riao Siao, Reymet made his escape, aided by his father, who created a diversion to allow Reymet to evade arrest by the Senate Guards.
Soon after, Reymet was joined by his mother, Sula, and sister, Lissa, who had chosen to leave Sagoro. In the subsequent years, Reymet established himself as a smuggler and information broker, operating under aliases such as Evan Hessler.
In 22 BBY, he found himself under arrest for the theft of a speeder belonging to Senator Simon Greyshade, after Anakin Skywalker had "borrowed" it.
However, after the conclusion of the war and the rise of the Galactic Empire, Reymet dedicated himself to locating his father. Sagoro's name had surfaced on a list of potential seditionists, leading Darth Vader to personally oversee Autem's capture. Operating under the identity of bounty hunter Evan Hessler, Reymet successfully "captured" his father, having outmaneuvered Tartuta and Severian. After revealing his true identity, Reymet and his father fled Coruscant to reunite with the rest of their family who were waiting.
Behind the scenes
Reymet's physical appearance varies between his two comic book appearances; in the first, he is depicted with black hair and brown eyes, while in the second, he has brown hair and green eyes. In Jedi Quest: The School of Fear he had sandy hair and gray eyes.
