His daughter, Andressa Divo, later attended the academy during the reign of the Galactic Empire and, upon completing her studies, joined the Imperial Security Bureau.

After graduating as valedictorian, he addressed the 4,500 new deputies from that graduating class from a podium.
In his address, he emphasized the significance of policing and the reasons behind the students' career choices. Divo's career began as a patrolman within the Coruscant Security Force, and he subsequently advanced to the rank of lieutenant by 7591 C.R.C., and later to inspector. He also presented before the academy's graduating class of 7593 C.R.C..
Following Divo's honorable retirement in the early years of the Galactic Empire's reign, his daughter, Andressa Divo, enrolled in the Federal District Police Academy. Driven by a desire to uphold the Divo family legacy of service, Andressa developed a strong commitment to justice and absorbed the teachings of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine and his administration. Her goal was to join the Imperial Security Bureau while she was a student at the academy. By 7965 C.R.C., she had successfully achieved this goal after graduating and later attained the rank of inspector.
The Federal District Police Academy received mention in the 2018 reference publication titled Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, authored by Pablo Hidalgo and featuring an illustration of the academy created by Raph Lomotan. Within the framework of Star Wars Legends continuity, the Coruscant Police training academies for the Coruscant Security Force were referenced in Galaxy at War, a 2009 supplement to the Star Wars Roleplaying Game published by Wizards of the Coast.
